Make it seven consecutive months of record wholesale RV values.

Black Book’s RV Market Commentary for September found prices at record levels again in July, up 2.1% for towables from the previous month and up 3.1% for motorhomes.

“The gains that we are seeing are slowing a bit,” said Eric Lawrence, principal analyst – specialty markets, “suggesting that we may soon see the wholesale market begin to flatten and return to more normal seasonal patterns.”

The average towable sale price in July was $24,140. The price is up 42% from July 2020.

The average motorhome sale price was $75,489, up 56% from July 2020.

“We are continuing to hear from dealers that they feel their lots are still understocked,” Lawrence said.

Auction volume on the towables side was down 9.5% in July from June. Motorhome auction volume rose 10.8% in July from June.
