Black Book’s RV Market Commentary found wholesale RV prices rising in March.

With RV dealers preparing for spring consumer traffic, towable and motorized values increased from March 2023 levels.

Eric Lawrence, principal analyst – specialty markets, said, “Dealers need to be well stocked with fresh inventory when customers show up looking for something to buy.”

The average towable sales price in March was $19,000, up 4.5% from February. The total is down 10.2% from the $21,154 average price in March 2023.

On the motorized side, the average sales price was $55,950, up 1.3% from February. The price is down 23.6% from the $73,239 average in March 2023.

“It has been quite a while since the average values for both motorhomes and towables sold at the wholesale auctions increased,” Lawrence said, “but the RV market is very seasonal, and we are getting into that time of year where the weather is starting to get nice and people are thinking about camping and hitting the road.”

Auction volume rose among towable RVs, up 6.3% from February. The average towable model year sold was 2019.

Motorized auction volume was down sharply, 15.7% lower than February. The average motorized model year sold was 2014.
