Winnebago Industries Foundation Executive Director Jil Littlejohn Bostick was among 15 people named to DiversityGlobal Magazine’s 2023 Top 15 Champions of Diversity.

The 15 champions are nominated by their organization’s top leaders and peers. The magazine said the men and women on the list are change agents, transforming their respective organizations and communities through diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) strategic plans filled with actions to ensure progress.

“Their unwavering vision of an inclusive world,” the magazine said, “drives them to achieve phenomenal results that benefit employees, organizations and communities.”

Littlejohn Bostick is Winnebago’s vice president of corporate responsibility and inclusion. She spearheads initiatives such as the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action (IDEA) Speaker Series, which engages subject matter experts to share behaviors and actions of inclusive leadership. The speaker series encompasses education to advance gender and lifestyle equality in the RV and marine manufacturing industries.

Littlejohn Bostick and her team focus on diversifying the talent pipeline through partnerships, Winnebago Industries said, such as their multi-year partnership with Camber Outdoors and bringing more people to the outdoors with Melanated Campout.

“Jil inspires a culture of volunteering, giving and community engagement across the Winnebago Industries organization,” DiversityGlobal Magazine said, “and depends on her courage, compassion and ability to step outside the box to engage people. She is recognized for her ability to really listen to and work with all people who are trying to accept a diversity focus and establish diversity goals.”

DiversityGlobal Magazine sent an online survey requesting nominations to over 41,000 diversity, ESG and HR professionals and organizational leaders in corporate and nonprofit organizations business in countries worldwide. Nominees answered several questions to share their approaches to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in their respective organizations.

“The Champions of Diversity share a theme, which is commitment,” the magazine said. “They are committed to bringing positive change within their organizations and in communities. They develop non-traditional channels for talent, pursue social justice, increase diversity and equity reporting for greater transparency, develop and collaborate with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), develop new communication tools, create psychologically safe spaces for difficult conversations, develop partnerships with external organizations, and reach out to youth and young adults in underrepresented and underserved communities. The Champions believe in leading with empathy, transparency and humility and are constantly working to build trust.”
