Tiffin is looking to explore its adventurous side.
In recent years, the luxury motorhome company released its GH1, GH2 and Open Trail adventure vans. Now the manufacturer is heading off the beaten path with new adventure van line marketing efforts.
TiffinAdventure.com is home to the company’s Type B adventure vans and the consumers who have embraced them. Marketing Director Austin Kelley said the new website and related marketing materials, including brochures, show signage and more, have been in the works for a year.
“We saw the wants and needs of that buyer are different from our typical Class A buyer,” Kelley said. “It was easier for us to structure a completely new website to fit those needs than it was to bend our current website to fit two completely different audiences.”
The new website includes specs and floorplan options for all three Tiffin adventure van lines. The site includes a dealer locator and a blog. Kelley said consumers can share their stories on the site and build a community around the brands.
“They love hearing from each other,” Kelley said. “Marketing efforts that come directly from the owner of a GH1 or an Open Trail go farther with potential owners than anything we can do from the factory. We are trying to highlight those stories and videos that really show that lifestyle.”
For the moment, Tiffin customers can find adventure van information at TiffinMotorhomes.com. Kelley said eventually TiffinAdventure.com will become the exclusive adventure van line home.
Tiffin will continue to embrace adventurous consumers with appearances at Overland Expo and Adventure Van Expo shows in 2026. The company’s presence at traditional RV shows will also be affected.
“We almost want to have two different displays at shows like Tampa and Hershey,” Kelley said. “For Tampa in January, we have broken up the space where there will be a second entrance into the display for the adventure products.”
Kelley said new adventure van floorplans are on the way. Consumers in Tampa will be the first to see the Open Trail 25CO that includes an electric ramp for loading bikes or equipment. The new GH1 1UP floorplan will also be in Tampa.
Kelley said the marketing changes will have a minimal effect on RV dealers. Some Tiffin dealers only carry the company’s traditional luxury Type A motorhomes, while some focus more on the company’s Type B and C motorhomes.
“The way they order their products will not change,” Kelley said. “I think they will be able to hone in on the specifics of their community a little more.”
Kelley said Tiffin is well-established with luxury RV buyers and hopes to earn a similar reputation among adventure van buyers.
Tiffin entered the adventure van market in 2023 with the GH1.
“(Younger buyers) want to get off-grid and work remote,” Kelley said. “They want to park their RV in the middle of the woods, and that is something they just cannot do with a 45-foot motorhome.”
