EXCLUSIVE: Titan Rolls Out New Trailer Tire

Titan International Inc. is releasing what the company calls the industry’s first true all-terrain tire, its Radial Trail A/T trailer tire line.

Titan International Inc. is releasing what the company calls the industry’s first true all-terrain tire, its Radial Trail A/T trailer tire line.

Titan Specialty Division High Speed Trailer Product Manager Ryan Fuller said, in addition to the new line, the company’s Radial Trail HD flagship tire experienced a speed rating increase.

“The Radial Trail A/T is the first trailer tire truly engineered for all-terrain conditions, not adapted from outdated molds,” Fuller said. “Combined with the enhancements to the Radial Trail HD, we’re giving our customers unmatched confidence whether they’re hauling down highways or navigating rugged backroads.”

The Radial Trail HD speed rating has been updated to an N rating (rated up to 87 mph).

Fuller said the tires can be used in any towable application, as long as the tire load capacity meets the towable’s requirements.

“Brands like Jayco, Winnebago, Airsteam and many more are offering ‘Baja’ or ‘Off Road’ packages,” Fuller said, “and they often come with a ‘trailer tire’ in the size of ST235/75R15. We also see adoption in the enclosed trailer market and toy hauler market.”

The company said the Radial Trail A/T tire is field-tested and performs above expectations.

Key features include optimized fuel efficiency, smoother towing, aggressive tread bites, soft surface control and heat control.

Titan said the Carlstar-branded Radial Trail A/T ST235/75R15 LRE is available with four additional sizes arriving this summer.

The newly rated Radial Trail HD is engineered with heat-resistant technology and exceeds Department of Transportation requirements.

The upgraded Radial Trail HD tires are available now.

The company said, “Both tires reflect a broader focus on helping customers move forward with greater confidence, comfort and peace of mind.”
