Airstream Unveils 2026 Motorhome Updates

Airstream’s Atlas and Interstate motorhomes will get a power boost in the 2026 model year.

The RV manufacturer said its Advanced Power System will be standard on all 2026 Atlas and Interstate motorhomes. The upgrade is among numerous changes Airstream will make to 2026 motorhomes.

The Advanced Power System includes 10,300-watt-hours of lithium batteries that include a built-in heater. The system includes a 1,000-watt, single-burner induction cooktop, a 3,000-watt inverter, a 40-amp in-vehicle battery charger, a Victron SmartShunt for solar monitoring, a Victron BlueSolar charge controller and a marine-grade alternator and regulator.

The motorhomes will feature a combined heating/hot water system that runs off electric battery power or the motorhomes’ diesel fuel.

The company said the result is “seamless operation of your heating, hot water, cooking and entertainment systems.”

The ARCO alternator and Zeus Regulator can be controlled through a mobile app to engage high-output charging, even when the vehicle is in stop-and-go trafficRVers can upgrade to the Advanced Power Plus system on Atlas and Interstate 24GL and 24GT models, as well as Interstate 19 and 19X models. The upgrade increases the battery power to 17,200-watt-hours.

Airstreams built on the Mercedes-Benz chassis receive an upgraded grill with Airstream badging on the hood that the company called “subtle, sophisticated touches that hint at the innovation within. These enhancements not only turn heads but also signal a new chapter in an iconic design that is rooted in form, function and our relentless pursuit of better.”

Ethernet prewiring will enable easier internet or Starlink connections.

The Atlas is a Type B motorhome built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4500 chassis and features a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 12,125 pounds with a tow capacity of 4,000 pounds. The motorhome measures 24 feet, 9 inches in length, 7 feet, 11 inches wide and 10 feet, 6 inches tall (including the air conditioner).

RVers can seat four and sleep two in the Atlas, which is Airstream’s only model to include a slide out. A rear bathroom includes a closet, vanity, toilet and corner shower.

Upgrades to 2026 Atlas models include improvements to the structural body and fiberglass. Custom LED taillights match Mercedes-Benz’s styling and a new camera and sensor system features dual rear-view cameras, blind spot cameras and additional exterior sensors.The Interstate 24GT and 24GL Type B model RVs are built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 Extended All-Wheel Drive chassis and seat seven. For 2026, the GL is also available in an optional rear-wheel drive model that offers seating for nine. All Interstate 24 models will include upgraded triple nickel chrome wheels, matching the Atlas model wheels.

Both Interstate models measure 24 feet, 6 inches long and 7 feet, 8.5 inches wide (including the mirrors) with a tow capacity of 5,000 pounds.

Buyers looking to go even smaller can choose between the Interstate 19GT and 19X models. Built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 chassis, the Type B motorhomes measure 19 feet, 5 inches long.

For 2026, Interstate models feature an upgraded heating/hot water system with dual-fuel capability, an improved burner, fuel pump and exterior exhaust.

The Rangeline is built on a Ram ProMaster 3500 chassis with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine and nine-speed automatic transmission.

The model year update includes a 3,000-watt inverter, a Victron Shunt for power monitoring, new inverter monitoring, an additional rear Firefly Integrations control panel and black leather captain’s chairs.
