Aloha RV Nearly Doubles Size in Expansion

Aloha RV dealership nearly doubled its Albuquerque, New Mexico, sales and showroom area to 12 acres in a recently completed expansion.

The 5-acre expansion includes an outdoor patio, an indoor sales showroom with two boat docks, six service bays and a new service work platform. The dealership has been locally owned and operated since 1990.

Aloha RV General Manager Peter Larson said although the service work platform type added in the expansion is found in every major RV manufacturing plant, he has not seen any installed inside U.S. dealerships.

The service workstation’s sides adjust independently to surround any RV at any height in the service bay.

“We can stay on the floor and work on anything near the bottom of a unit, or we can raise the lift to any height needed, right up to the roof,” Larson said. “This greatly improves the safety of the technicians.”

Larson said it typically is hard on technicians to continually traverse up and down ladders when servicing RVs. “When you are trying to attract people to the industry, you want to have good working conditions,” Larson said.

Aloha RV doubled its service bay area to 30,000 square feet, installing sewer drops, water spickets and 50-amp power service in every bay.
