Auto-Motion Shade Inc. launched its TPS/TCS shade series, now available in lightweight and cost-effective PVC.
The low-profile, slim line shade was previously only available in aluminum. A PVC option is now available as the TCS717 (Day/Night) and SCS716 (Night-only).
By transitioning from steel/aluminum to PVC, AMS said OEMs will avoid tariff-related cost increases while maintaining quality and performance. Section 232 tariffs on steel and aluminum products do not affect PVC products.
The new hardware extrusion enables OEMs to use this slim line day/night and night-only shade as a cassette shade without a valance.
AMS said the new PVC version provides a sleek, integrated appearance that ensures a consistent visual finish across all shade combinations. The new shades are approximately 8% lighter compared with the aluminum variant.
