Canada RVDA Elects Chairwoman

Josée Bédard of Roulottes Chaudière in Levis, Quebec was elected to be the new board chairwoman for the RVDA of Canada.

Coming from an extensive background in the automotive sector, Bédard joined the RV industry in 2012 when she purchased Roulottes Chaudière.

Bédard’s dealership was founded in 1997 and is located in the Québec City region. It showcases a range of new and used product lines on the 60,000 square foot location. The facility allows for 70 units to be displayed in the showroom and includes one of the largest parts and accessories stores in Canada. The dealership offers free clinics to its customers for road readiness in the spring and winterizing in the fall.

Shortly after purchasing Roulottes Chaudière, Bédard became involved in the RVDA of Québec/ACVRQ and was elected as its president in 2015. She is finishing her sixth term as the association’s president.

Bédard also served as director on the Go RVing Canada board, which she joined in 2014. She became a member of the RVDA of Canada Board in 2016 and has served as treasurer and vice chair before moving to the chairman’s role. She is also a current director on the Canadian Camping & RV Council.

Bédard is a volunteer within her community and was director of the Fondation de l’Institut de réadaptation en déficience physque de Québec for more than a decade.

Other officers for the 2021-2022 year are Vice Chair Dale Hopkins of RV City in Leduc, Alberta; Treasurer Jim Gorrie of GNR Camping World in Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Past Chair Gord Bragg of Hub City RV in Lantzville, British Columbia.

The RVDA of Canada’s Board of Directors are Greg Nikkel of NR Motors Ltd. In Prince George, British Columbia; Dean Goerzen of Go RV in Nisku, Alberta; Kyle Kehoe of Kehoe RV in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Travis Bromley of Transcona Trailer Sales in Winnipeg, Manitoba; John Krohnert of Platinum RV Sales in Erin, Ontario; Marc Rémillard of Centre du Camping Rémillard in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec; Jonathan Stone of Stone’s RV Centre in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia; and Ken Dobson of Leisure Time Sales in Quispamsis, New Brunswick.
