Leisure Days RV Group, Canada’s largest RV dealership group by store count, acquired its first U.S. location after buying Wana Engine Center in Shipshewana, Indiana.

With the purchase, Leisure Days RV Group has 34 RV stores in North America.

Wana Engine Center owner Justin Miller will remain as the store’s general manager.

“Wana Engine Center has been in the Miller Family since 1980 and we are excited to partner with the Leisure Days RV Group. We are expecting this partnership to help us better serve our current and future customers,” Miller said. “The RV retail business is changing very rapidly. We felt the leadership and experience they can provide was important for us to grow as a company.”

Leisure Days RV Group CEO Pat Butler said the store was an excellent choice for the company’s first RV dealership in the U.S.

“The Miller family has built an amazing operation through their dedication and hard work,” Butler said. “The dealership is consistently in the top five retail sales in the state of Indiana and has developed a 16-acre storage yard.”

The purchase comes 20 years after Leisure Days RV Group opened its first RV dealership, RV Canada.

“We now start a new chapter with our first U.S. dealership,” Butler said. “We look forward to continued success at Wana and we are extremely happy that Justin has agreed to remain as general manager.”

Leisure Days RV Group also operates three Trailer Pros Canada dealerships, three RV campgrounds and a marina.
