Camping World established its presence in its 44th state with its latest acquisition. The dealer chain acquired Hitch RV’s locations in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
The acquisition moves Camping World into Delaware for the first time. Hitch RV sells several towable RVs and Type A and Type C motorhomes.
Camping World CEO and chairman Marcus Lemonis said, “These locations are another example of widening our acquisition funnel by identifying targets that allow for conversion to manufacturer-exclusive locations, and we expect to continue to capitalize on today’s robust dealership M&A environment.”
Camping World said it planned to complete facility renovations before opening locations throughout the first quarter of 2025.

On Hitch RV’s website, a crawl across the top of the page Monday declared the company’s independence, contrary to Lemonis’ suggestion that one or more of Hitch RV’s stores could become a manufacturer-exclusive dealership.
“Hitch RV as of yesterday, today, tomorrow and years to come will be Hitch RV,” the website notice stated. “We will continue to operate as a family-owned dealership, just as we have been since 2008.”
