Dexter Axle Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of DexKo Global Inc., recently acquired Western Canada-based parts supplier National Trailer Parts Warehouse, Ltd.

“National Trailer Parts fills a void in our coverage of Western Canada,” said Adam Dexter, president and CEO of Dexter. “(National Trailer Parts) will allow us to more effectively service that customer base.”

National Trailer Parts Warehouse, founded in 1992, is based in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, and employs more than 20 people. The company distributes trailer components to Canadian manufacturers, dealers and service centers.

Dexter is headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, and has 17 manufacturing facilities and 32 distribution centers in the U.S. and Canada, employing more than 3,800 individuals. The U.S.-based business manufactures trailer axles and brakes, as well as some suspension components.

Keith Brown, managing partner of National Trailer Parts Warehouse, attributed the company’s success to loyal customer support, hardworking employees and reliable and timely supplies from vendors.

“My shareholder partner, Ernie Giddens, and I are happy that Dexter is the buyer of our company,” Brown said. “We are confident that Dexter will continue with the service-based, timely and comprehensive delivery traditions long established by National Trailer Parts.”
