Dometic is preventing rain from falling on motorhome RVers’ parades.
The supplier launched the RainTec RT 200 rain gutter with an LED light strip.
The gutter is placed above Type B motorhome sliding doors to catch any rainfall, minimizing raindrops entering the vehicle.
The RainTec gutter is made from powder-coated aluminum. The gutter includes lighting with chip-on-board technology. The lighting features reduces gaps in the light strip to provide a continuous line of light.
Dometic compared the technology with traditional LED lights, which often feature light gaps. The RainTec gutter lights have a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours.
The feature is available in four vehicle-specific models with sliding doors, including some models sold only in Europe. Delivery kits include installation materials, a dimmer switch and a remote to control lighting.
Vehicle-specific models include:
- Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (model year 2018 or later)
- Ford Transit (model year June 2019 or later)
- Volkswagen Crafter II (model year 2017 or later)
- Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Jumper (model years 2006 or later)
