Dow Slumps as Focus Shifts to Federal Reserve

Losses for stock benchmarks on Wall Street deepened Monday morning, as worries about monetary policy and omicron undercut bullishness that brought the S&P 500 to a record close Friday.

Last week, each of the major indexes rose 4%.

Markets traded lower Monday morning, with all eyes on the Federal Reserve’s final gathering of 2021 set for later this week.
