Two electric RV manufacturers have new models available to consumers this month. Grounded, which began delivering its electric Type B motorhomes in 2023, unveiled its updated G3 motorhome.
Pebble, which began taking deposits on orders in late 2023, has begun full production and is delivering its first electric travel trailers this week.
Both new RVs offer off-grid capabilities and a long feature list.
Grounded’s G3 is built on the all-electric General Motors BrightDrop platform. The Zevo 400 chassis is 20 feet long while the Zevo 600 chassis is just over 24 feet long.
The van offers up to a 286-mile range on a single charge. Grounded CEO Sam Shapiro said the G3 is the company’s most comfortable motorhome yet.
Shapiro said, “It is a ground-up reimagining of our smart, fully electric RV that is based on real-world use,” he said.
The motorhome includes aluminum framed cabinets with updated wall panels. A motorized left bed transforms into a California king-sized bed. An insulated rear door improves the motorhome’s energy efficiency.
The G3’s self-heating batteries will enable four-season travel, according to the company. The motorhome has a 1,400-watt electrical system that can be charged through a house connection.
The van’s reinforced aluminum substructure supports a rooftop air conditioner, 1,000 watts of solar and Starlink internet service. Up to 20,000-watt-hours hours of lithium batteries power the G3’s living systems. According to the company, the G3 is built to operate in temperatures as low as 0 degrees Fahrenheit.
In the rear, Grounded has replaced a roll-up garage door with a full-width, swing-out entry door.
The G3 includes BrightDrop’s eight-year/100,000-mile platform warranty and a one-year interior warranty. The vehicle is compatible with CCS fast chargers nationwide and comes with a CCS-to-NACS adapter for access to Tesla superchargers and BrightDrop’s service network.
Pebble’s Flow is a 25-foot travel trailer with a dry weight of 5,800 pounds and a GVWR of 6,800 pounds. The vehicle features a 45,000-watt-hour lithium battery and up to 1,100 watts of rooftop solar panels. Dual electric motors power Pebble’s Tow Assist, an app-controlled function to remotely hitch the Flow to a tow vehicle. At delivery, Pebble is introducing its Auto Dump function. The powered system requires RVers to place a pre-connected hose in the sewer inlet and tap “Dump” on the mobile app. A pump-powered hose empties the 18-gallon black water tank.
The company’s earliest customers are now taking delivery of the Flow Founders Edition just in time for the summer travel season. Pebble founder and CEO Bingrui Yang said the deliveries are a milestone.
“This product reflects years of engineering and thoughtful iteration, built on the belief that every detail, from setup to travel, should feel effortless and intuitive,” he said. “This is the moment we have been building towards, and we cannot wait to see more and more Pebble Flow travel trailers on the road.”
Pebble said the company will continue scaling production throughout 2025. During the third quarter, the company plans to rapidly expand invitations for customers with preorders to finalize their purchases.
