Camco is offering dealers a way to streamline the delivery process with its Day of Delivery Accessories Kits.
Starter kits are not a new concept, but Vice President of Sales Jeremy Godwin said Camco’s kits are different than traditional kits.
“A lot of companies have had really basic kits in the past,” Godwin said. “So many times when people buy a new RV, they are given really cheap accessory products to get them out the door. We all know it is going to be a poor experience from the get-go. Is that really the experience a dealer wants his customers to have the first time out?”
Camco offers three Day of Delivery Accessories Kits: Trailblazer, Traveler and Getaway.
Godwin said each kit includes Camco’s quality products for leveling/stabilization, sanitation, electrical and fresh water. He said the difference is in the product volume and quality offered. The Getaway kit will include a Rhino-branded sewer hose, while the Trailblazer kit will include the Rhino Extreme sewer hose.
“All three kits offer the quality products Camco is known for,” Godwin said. “With three kits, we give the dealer the flexibility to offer a product mix that best fits their customers. Dealers can stock just one of the kits, or all three.”
Godwin said the kits will streamline dealers’ processes and provide them with the opportunity to introduce consumers to a wider product range.
“Dealers know that the day of delivery is their best shot to sell products like these to their customers,” Godwin said. “It is important to introduce them to the parts store and develop that loyalty before they have a chance to reach out to other places about products.”
Camco has developed a new Five-Star Dealer Program along with the kits.
Dealers who commit to carrying the kits and Camco’s Eaz-Lift products can become a part of the program. As Five-Star dealers, they will provide additional marketing resources, product training, content libraries and merchandising support.
“Those two products are really the pillars of the Five-Star Dealer Program,” Godwin said. “There are a lot of perks that will go along with the program, including early access to new products. We do ask that dealers partner with us to carry our products. That is not a huge ask, because a lot of them are already carrying our products in their stores. We really want to do a better job connecting with our dealer network.”
Godwin said the program was rolled out at the RVDA Convention/Expo in Las Vegas. The company has introduced dealers to the program through the aftermarket distributor shows that followed.
“It is being offered through distribution as well,” he said. “It does not matter how the dealer is buying their products. As long as they are buying Camco products, they are eligible.”
Godwin said dealers can get additional information and see new 2026 products at the NTP-Stag and Foland shows in January. He said the company will have a consumer booth at the Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa next month.
