EXCLUSIVE: Jetboil Debuts New Off-Grid Stoves

Backcountry cooking systems company Jetboil is introducing two new stoves to its TrailCook Stove Systems lineup.

Backcountry cooking systems company Jetboil is introducing two new stoves to its TrailCook Stove Systems lineup.

The Wisconsin-based company said it is “fueling adventure” with its TrailCook 1.2-liter and 2-liter models that boil liquids quickly using the company’s proprietary FluxRing technology.

Assistant Media Relations Director Katie Richter said the stoves’ integrated pot support can accommodate other cookware up to 9 inches.

“[This means] it can function as a small modular camp kitchen,” Richter said. “They are the perfect product for RVers and overland campers because they combine compact storage, fuel efficiency and real cooking capabilities.”

Jetboil Senior Integrated Marketing Manager Ally Spaight said both new models are compatible with a wide range of accessories, including the Summit Skillet, 1.5L Ceramic Cook Pot, TrailSpoon and TrailWare

“With TrailCook, we set out to give adventurers real control over their meals beyond fast boils,” Spaight said. “These stove systems bring precision cooking to the backcountry in a way that is brand new at this weight and packability.”

The company said the new models are engineered with advanced regulator valves that create precise simmer control, fast ignition and incremental heat adjustment.

“The new TrailCook Stove Systems are also designed with Jetboil’s re-engineered ignition, now integrated directly into the valve control for easier, more reliable lighting,” the company said. “A durable, ceramic-encased igniter ensures stable, long-lasting performance, while a textured grip zone on the burner base makes it easier to attach canisters, adjust the flame, or connect cookware.”

Jetboil said the TrailCook 1.2-liter stove is ideal for individuals. It weighs 19.4-ounces and can bring 16-ounces of liquid to a boil in 2 minutes and 15 seconds.

“The new lid design boasts helpful features like a spout and a strainer, while a clever foldable handle locks the lid into place for easy packing,” Jetboil said. “Its streamlined design makes it perfectly suited for individual meals and fast-moving adventures.”

The TrailCook 2-liter stove is built for use by two to four people, according to Jetboil. Its larger, Dutch-oven-style cook pot expands off-grid cooking options.

“At only 22.2-ounces with a capacity of 2 liters, this stove boils a liter of water in 4 minutes and 15 seconds,” the company said, “providing the same precise flame control and packable design as the 1.2-liter model, scaled for group meals.

“Whether you’re simmering a pot of stew or making a quick solo breakfast,” Spaight said. “Jetboil TrailCook Stove Systems gives you the reward of a hot meal at the end of the day.”
