
Home and outdoor safety supplier Klear Concepts is marketing its new Silicone Fire Blanket to RV dealerships as a compact alternative to extinguishers.
The company said the majority of RV fires start where people cook — around the range or outdoor grill.
Klear Concepts Vice President of Brand Strategy and Marketing Santo D’Asaro said in a compact living space such as an RV, fire danger can be immediate.
“Unlike bulky extinguishers that can be messy or intimidating to use, a fire blanket is a sleek, set-it-and-forget-it safety essential,” D’Asaro said. “It stores easily in tight cabinets and deploys instantly to smother a small grease fire before it spreads through the rig. No chemicals. No cleanup. Just a fast, simple layer of protection.”
The Klear Fire Blanket is a 40-inch square, silicone-coated UM9 fiberglass fire blanket.
The silicone coating results in a higher temperature rating. The blanket features a small weave for higher density and better extinguishing performance.
Founded more than 13 years ago, Klear Concepts designs and manufactures safety products. The company was the first to introduce fire blankets into U.S. mass retail and recently announced a national partnership with the National Park Foundation.
D’Asaro said there are multiple ways for an RV dealer to sell a fire blanket without “operational lift.”
“For RV dealerships and aftermarket retailers, adding the Klear Fire Blanket is more than stocking another accessory — it’s a smart attachment opportunity,” D’Asaro said. “The product integrates seamlessly into new unit deliveries, F&I safety packages, service check-ins and parts counter add-ons, creating incremental revenue without operational lift.”
