Level 5 Advertising launched a new dealer website for ReinventRV, the first online RV wholesale marketplace.

Level 5, a technology company helping with data management and real-time trading and buying, partnered with ReinventRV to create the online RV auction platform, where users can post a dealer management system’s inventory directly.

As of Dec. 20, 2020, dealers posted more than 10,000 units on the website, published that November. January’s projected statistics include more than 70 dealers posting 20,000 units.

ReinventRV is growing internally, as the company started with six employees and now has 13. Chief Growth Officer Rob Gadek, previously Cars.com’s chief financial officer, was hired two weeks ago.

Todd Wilkins, Level 5’s chief business officer and ReinventRV co-founder, attributes this growth to ReinventRV’s virtual booth at RVDA’s convention last November, where staff was able to meet many dealers to help kick off their new website.

“The goal is smooth B-to-B transactions,” Wilkins said.

When sourcing their first dealers, Wilkins said he and his co-workers asked how many units dealers normally carry. They found that many currently only use 20 percent of their dealership’s floorplan capacity.

ReinventRV allows these dealerships to trade unit for unit, without a middle man.

“When you have low inventories throughout the country, that tool will be impactful,” Wilkins says. “This allows dealers to keep market share for the OEMs.”
