No Boundaries (NOBO) by Forest River will release a new Beast Mode package for consumers wanting to tow travel trailers off road and carry outdoor gear such as bikes, kayaks or fishing equipment.

The package incorporates Lippert’s Curt independent suspension system and will be available across the full NOBO travel trailer lineup. RVs equipped with Beast Mode will start to arrive on dealer lots in mid-Q3, said Cody Schade, NOBO product manager.

“Our team took a fresh look from the ground up, adding a standard tire pressure monitoring system and high-quality, all-terrain tires for safety, as well as axle-less suspension for comfort and confidence for years of service and utility,” Schade said. “The ground clearance and articulation of the product set it apart in a category all its own, but the absence of vibration and rattles on long trips and over various terrain offers a level of comfort and confidence not currently found in any other towable product.”

The independent suspension system enables the independent movement of single or tandem axle wheels to reduce jostling and keep a trailer more level. The suspension has nitrogen-filled shocks and coil springs. The springs feature bump stops to prevent bottoming out.

“The Curt independent suspension system is the next step in the evolution of the Lippert/Curt axle lineup,” said Bob Boone, Lippert vice president of axle sales and axle product manager. “We are proud to have the opportunity to partner with Forest River No Boundaries in this endeavor and look forward to their success with our amazing new product line.”

The RV industry’s adventure trailer segment has exploded in the past five years, Schade said. In that time, OEMs have improved storage solutions, energy systems and comfort, but have not focused on running gear, he said. The Beast Mode suspension will give a customer a less stressful ride than a standard suspension, he said.

NOBO travel trailers come in lengths from 12 feet to 25 feet, weigh 1,500 to 3,500 pounds and have adaptable outdoor gear equipment storage.
