Retailers crowded the Gaylord Rockies Resort Convention Center on Tuesday for the 2025 NTP-Stag Expo final day. The day was packed with a motivational keynote speech, new product displays and a closing reception.
Justin Forsett took the stage at the opening breakfast, sponsored by Carefree of Colorado. The former National Football League (NFL) player was filled with energy from the moment he stepped onto the platform. During his speech, titled “The Hustle and the Huddle,” Forsett detailed personal challenges to demonstrate how RV industry members can overcome obstacles and adversity.
Forsett opened with the challenge of recovering from multiple injuries while playing with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013.
Forsett used the story to share a major point. He said, “Greatness grows best in the shadows.”
The words were so important to Forsett that he had the crowd stand up and shout the words with him.
He advised the audience on three things they must prioritize when facing challenges and adversity.
The first is to excel at aspects under their control, including attitude, character, conduct, communication, effort and preparation. Forsett recalled times growing up when his family was homeless or did not have electricity. Although he could not control his circumstances, he said he used his experiences to motivate and drive him toward his goals.
Additionally, he faced major career rejection. For example, Notre Dame offered him a football scholarship at 17 years old. However, a week before signing day, the school withdrew the offer.

He said organizations such as Notre Dame or the Jacksonville Jaguars tried to put him in a box, saying, ‘You are not fast enough, you are not strong enough, etc.”
“Never allow anybody to label you or limit you based on your current role or where you come from or your age or whatever limitations that they want to put on you,” he said. “Be box breakers.”
His second point was that individuals must build a home. Forsett said individuals must surround themselves with people who will grow and nurture them. He said everyone needs “emotional spotters” to support them emotionally, spiritually and mentally.
Forsett’s third point was that individuals must serve others. He said serving is how people grow. To demonstrate his point, Forsett invited NTP-Stag President Bill Rogers on stage. Forsett and Rogers sat in chairs, acting like they were driving. Forsett and Rogers jammed to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing,” and Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey.” After the jam session, Forsett turned to Rogers and asked him how he could support Rogers. He responded with, “Buy RV parts.”

The room erupted in laughter. However, Forsett’s point stuck.
He said, “If you feel that you are too big to serve, then you are too small to lead.”
Forsett received a standing ovation as he exited the stage, and a line of attendees formed to meet him afterward.
Attendees left the breakfast and made their way to the show floor with fresh concepts to consider. When the show floor opened, and attendees put Forsett’s advice into play.
RV Technical Institute (RVTI) Senior Manager of Recruitment Justin Rickett and Windish RV President Whitney Holtz guided over 40 Littleton Public School students around the show floor from 11 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. The students are part of the Explorative Pathways Innovative Careers (EPIC) campus, which will now offer a Level 1 course.
