Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI) said the RV industry experienced a 7.37% year-over-year decline in sales in October. Two areas in particular performed well in contrast to the overall decline.

Type C motorhomes outperformed the market with a 1.76% year-over-year increase in October 2025. Type C sales this year have been strongest in the West. Florida is the top state for 2025 registration volume through October, but California, Washington and Arizona are third through fifth, behind Texas.

In the Pacific Northwest region, the Eugene-Springfield, Oregon, market increased retail registrations by 29.23% in October from October 2024. The increase marked the second time in three months that an Oregon region posted large year-over-year registration increases. In August, Bend, Oregon, grew year-over-year RV sales by 48%.

SSI did not publish September 2025 retail registration data.

Shannon Pinto, vice president of SSI, product, said the state’s registrations are down overall year-over-year through October. She said certain state markets are performing better than others.

“For example, Eugene-Springfield has been doing better relative to other areas in Oregon,” Pinto said. “Consumers in that area have been gravitating towards travel trailers.”
