Puma wants dealers to know the manufacturer has new models on the way.
The brand could not wait until Elkhart Extravaganza to share its expansion. The company will release new Mesa and Grand Mesa brand fifth wheels and Tracks travel trailers.
Group General Manager for Palomino and Puma Fred Hershberger said the towables will be available in numerous floorplans. Hershberger said details are still under wraps but he promised a few surprises.
“We have some unique floorplans,” Hershberger said. “Floorplans have always been one of my favorite things to play around with in the industry. We always have a few things up our sleeves. I think the dealers will be excited about what they see when they get to Expo.”
According to the company, the Mesa and Grand Mesa fifth wheels deliver luxury, spacious interiors and residential-style amenities. Puma said the Tracks travel trailers include several half-ton towable models.
“We know that a lot of dealers are making plans leading up to the Expo, and trying to make some decisions,” Hershberger said. “We wanted to get this out there and let the dealers know what we have coming down the pipe. We are not going to split up the products. For all of our existing Puma dealers, these trailers are going to be an added product within the Puma family that will be available to them and nobody else in their particular BTAs (basic trading areas).”
Hershberger said the expansion will provide Puma dealers with a more cohesive product lineup. Along with new models, Puma will make more frequent dealership visits to provide support.
“Rather than getting out to dealerships every three to four months, there is a good shot we will have reps there three out of every four months,” Hershberger said. “We will be a lot more hands-on from a training standpoint.”
Founded in 2003, Puma earned multiple RVDA Quality Circle awards for commitment to quality and dealer satisfaction.
“We have been building the Puma brand for over 20 years, and I think most dealers would tell you it is a well-built product,” Hershberger said. “Our goal is to build RVs that dealers are proud to offer and customers are excited to own.”
