Taxa Outdoors, a lightweight adventure vehicle manufacturer, signed two new RV dealers to its network. Giant RV in southern California and Gerzeny’s RV World in Florida will carry Taxa Outdoors’ full towable line, including the Cricket, TigerMoth and Mantis models.

Giant RV Corporate General Manager Mike Jacque said the Taxa Outdoors lineup is unique because it is built for people who camp. The Taxa Outdoors travel trailers are “extraordinarily well-built, light and only 7 feet tall,” making them easy to store in a garage, he said.

Giant RV discussed carrying Taxa late last year but held off ordering new inventory due to market slowdowns, Jacque said.

Now, he said, Spring weather is bringing out customers interested in towables, and Giant RV was impressed with Taxa selling 50 models in California last year without a dealership.

According to Taxa Outdoors, growing to include the two new dealerships is a significant milestone. The expansion will enable the company to reach more outdoor enthusiasts, especially millennial and Gen X consumers looking for a new way to camp andA picture of the Taxa Cricket next to a young woman by a fire at sunset with hills in the background reconnect in nature, Taxa Outdoors said.

“We are thrilled to welcome Giant RV and Gerzeny’s RV World to our network of dealers,” Taxa Outdoors founder Garrett Finney said. “These two respected industry leaders are the perfect partners for Taxa Outdoors, as they share our commitment to quality, sustainability and creating a new way to support adventuring in nature. We are excited to continue growing our brand and providing outdoor enthusiasts with the best possible experience.”

Taxa Outdoors makes the 4-person Mantis 5.2; the 2-adults, 2-child Cricket; the 2-plus adult TigerMoth and the Wooly Bear rooftop tent storage and kitchen system.

Jacque said Giant RV consumers focused attention on the Tigermoth model because of its angled hatch A picture of the TAXA Mantis travel trailer with a young family playing games at the beachdoor that opens the RV’s side.

It is “unlike any teardrop out there and is usable for more than just sleeping,” he said, “and because of the Thule rack system, we are ordering ours this way, it actually has roof-mounted camper. You have a unit that is 12 feet long, weighs 1,300 pounds, and can sleep five or six people. For campers, that is a lot in a very small package.”

With the two new dealerships, Taxa Outdoors’ products are sold by over 55 dealers, with more planned soon, the company said.
