Tiffin Motorhomes welcomed approximately 200 attendees to its annual dealer meeting last week. The event was conducted at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center in Alabama, approximately two hours from the company’s headquarters in Red Bay, Alabama.
A question-and-answer session with former University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban highlighted the event. Jayco President Ken Walters, who was promoted to Thor Industries’ group CEO in February, spoke to kick off Friday’s activities. Walters’ group consists of Tiffin as well as Jayco, Entegra, Heartland and Open Range.
Among the 24 motorhomes on display were two new floorplans, the Open Trail 25CO and the GH1 SE. Other new models, including the revamped Cornerstone Type A motorhome, will be unveiled later in the year and on display at Elkhart Extravaganza.
Tiffin’s top-of-the-line Zephyr motorhomes received a new interior décor for 2027 and upgraded their furniture coverings to real leather. The Allegro Bus has a new front and rear cap for 2027. The front cap has been redesigned to be built in two pieces. The bottom portion uses a hydraulic slide to pull away from the motorhome, providing easier generator access.
Phaeton motorhomes will feature a redesigned front dash, modeled after the redesigned dash featured on last year’s Allegro Bus motorhomes.
Vice President of Sales Joel Grimm presented North Trail RV Inventory Manager John Wicks with an award. The award went to the dealership with the highest customer satisfaction index scores among Tiffin’s dealer body.
Walters addressed Tiffin’s leadership changes since the beginning of the year, beginning with Tiffin President Leigh Tiffin’s departure in March. He recognized Tiffin’s leaders, saying the manufacturer had a core of strong leaders to rely upon. He also made a promise to Tiffin founder Bob Tiffin from the stage.
“I promise you, Mr. Tiffin,” Walters said, “we are not going to mess up the good parts.”
He told Tiffin dealers that Thor Industries was developing a unified portal to simplify their interactions with all of Thor’s brands. He said Tiffin and Jayco had numerous similarities as 50-year-old RV manufacturers, family-owned and built on faith and family values.
Walters said Tiffin will lean into personal core values alongside strong professional values.
“One of the things I have heard loud and clear from the leadership team…is they need to know what is going on and getting constant communication,” Walters said. “They want to give feedback. I think there is an opportunity to listen and focus on the things that are important to them.”
Walters finished his presentation by focusing on details he often recalls in presentations to Jayco’s dealer body. He said all decisions will be made to improve people, vehicle quality and dealer relationships. If a decision does not check one of those boxes, Walters said they should be called out.
“So yes, we are going to evolve,” he said. “Yes, we are going to work to move faster. Yes, we are going to have meaningful conversations on the stuff that you have on your lot that we missed on. We are in this together until you sell it, until the customer takes delivery.”
