Charles Campbell, a U.S. Compliance Academy executive instructor, is scheduled to speak Nov. 8 at noon at the 2022 RVDA Convention/Expo about the revised Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) Safeguards Rule requirements.

Campbell is nationally recognized for F&I education and Federal rules expertise. He is returning to the convention/expo after multiple dealer requests. He will discuss how the new safeguards rule requires dealerships to comply with regulations.

Penalties for rule non-compliance may include lawsuits, civil or criminal penalties. Campbell said principals and managers at all levels are encouraged to learn how to protect their dealerships.

Learning objectives include:

  • Understanding the current and revised GLBA Safeguards Rule
  • Complying with the Federal Trade Commission’s regulatory mandates
  • Ensuring the mandated compliance management system is set up properly
  • Incorporating compliance and ethics into advertising, presentation and sales
