Gen-Y Hitch is adding two products to its towing accessory lineup with the Fifth Wheel Hitch Cover and the Guardian Gooseneck Coupler Lock.
“These products represent a dual-pronged approach to trailer maintenance,” the company said, “with one designed to protect equipment from the elements and the other to defend it against the rising threat of power-tool-driven theft.”
The Guardian Gooseneck Coupler Lock advances the company’s Icon Trailer Lock product line and delivers “uncompromising security” for Gen-Y’s heavy-duty gooseneck couplers, according to Gen-Y Hitch.
It was developed in partnership with security company Altor.
The coupler lock features patented radial fin architecture engineered specifically to counter power-tool-driven theft.
Gen-Y said it is purpose-built for its Executive, Spartan, Viking and Nomad gooseneck systems.
“Constructed from hardened steel and equipped with a premium high-security disc-detainer core, the Guardian is engineered to resist picking, cutting, grinding and brute-force attacks,” the company said. “This is protection you can see and feel—heavy, solid and purpose-built — delivering next-level security for high-value trailers and RVs.”
The company’s new Fifth Wheel Hitch Cover offers protection from the elements and was designed specifically for all Gen-Y Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Boxes.
“Constructed from high-quality, marine-grade vinyl, this cover shields your pin box from the elements, helping prevent moisture, debris and unwanted pests from getting in while your trailer is parked,” Gen-Y Hitch said. “The easy-on, easy-off design allows for quick installation and removal with a secure fit you can trust.”
