Go RVing Stages Honeymoon ‘InteRVention’

A newlywed man and woman honeymoon in a motorhome.

Go RVing recently staged an “inteRVention” to help newlyweds enjoy their honeymoon after COVID derailed the one they originally scheduled.

After their June 2020 wedding, Sara Stephens and RJ Crumpler were going to jet off to Japan. Then COVID-19 hit. Suddenly, they either had to pivot their plans or put everything off to a later date. So, after a very tiny, very socially distanced celebration (only 15 guests), the couple returned to a long-simmering idea they discussed when they first started dating: road trip.

That’s where Go RVing stepped in for a Honeymoon InteRVention. With an RV provided by Winnebago Industries and delivery by Campers Inn of Durham, N.C., Sara and RJ set off on a cross-country honeymoon RV trip of a lifetime. The 2020 Minnie Winnie took them to 11 states, allowing them the freedom to change up their plans and even bring home an oversized souvenir or two.

But that is not where the story ends. Knowing many other happy couples are facing the same cancellations, Go RVing partnered with The Knot Worldwide to provide another Honeymoon InteRVention. One lucky couple will win a two-week honeymoon in an RV provided by Go RVing, with spending money courtesy of The Knot. The sweepstakes is now live and runs through Oct. 3.

In the first week the contest has been live there have been 3,700 entrants, and 21 percent of them clicked through to visit GoRVing.com after entering.

Members interested in providing a motorhome for the sweepstakes, please contact RVIA’s Dana Delvecchio at [email protected].
