Government Issues Weekly RV Recalls

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following RV recalls:

ALLIANCE RV, LLC

Fresh Water Tank Incorrectly Installed

A freshwater tank that detaches from a vehicle can become a road hazard, increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 50

Alliance is recalling certain 2023 Paradigm 295MK and Avenue 23RLS fifth wheels. The freshwater tank may be installed incorrectly, which can result in the tank detaching from the vehicle.

Dealers will inspect and remount the freshwater tank, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Aug. 13, 2025. Owners may contact Alliance customer service at 1-574-218-7165.

ALUMINUM TRAILER CO. (ATC)

Incorrectly Wired Stabilizer Jacks

Wiring without circuit protection may short circuit, increasing the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 12

Aluminum Trailer Co. is recalling certain 2025 ATC PLA550 Bumper Pull vehicles. The power wire from the battery to the stabilizer jacks may be wired incorrectly without over current circuit protection.

Dealers will inspect and repair the wiring and install a 30-amp fuse, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 23, 2025. Owners may call ATC customer service at 1-877-441-2440 ext. 342.

FOREST RIVER, INC.

Missing Emergency Exit Window

A missing emergency exit can prevent or delay occupants from exiting in an emergency, increasing the injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 19

Forest River is recalling certain 2025 Cherokee ACKT271RK travel trailers. These vehicles may not have an emergency exit window installed.

Dealers will install an emergency exit window, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 18, 2025. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-260-499-2100. Forest River’s number for this recall is 17-1927.

HEARTLAND RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, LLC

Removable Steps May Detach While In Use

Steps that detach while in use increase the injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 130

Heartland is recalling certain 2024-2025 Cyclone fifth wheels, equipped with a removable step assembly. The clip-on bracket mounting bolts may come loose, enabling the steps to detach.

Dealers will replace the clip-on bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 27, 2025. Owners may contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032.

THOR MOTOR COACH

Removable Steps May Detach While In Use

Steps that detach while in use increase the injury risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 42

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2025-2026 TMC Outlaw motorhomes, equipped with a removable step assembly. The clip-on bracket mounting bolts may come loose, allowing the steps to detach.

Dealers will replace the step bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 7, 2025. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC’s number for this recall is RC000326.
