Grand Design RV has launched a new roof system developed in collaboration with supplier TekModo.
General Manager of Solitude, Momentum and Influence Rob Groover said this new design addresses a common pain point RV owners face: roof maintenance.
“At our core, innovation drives everything we do,” Groover said. “That pursuit led us to engineer a minimal-maintenance roof that redefines durability and water resistance. Customers have been asking for this, and we are proud to deliver a Grand Design exclusive solution on our Solitude, Influence and Foundation lines.”
Grand Design boasts that, unlike traditional roofs, its new roof is constructed from a single seamless piece, eliminating joints and minimizing vulnerabilities.
The company said beneath the surface, three layers of marine-grade materials, including high-strength fiberglass, provide unmatched impact resistance against hail, branches and other hazards. Grand Design said it has removed the need for edge sealants. Instead, the roof features precision wrap-around edging leveraging automotive gaskets that direct water away to reduce maintenance.
