Two years after expanding its Utah-based RV dealership group to Missouri, Haugen RV sold the two Missouri-based stores.

Haugen RV CEO Jason Haugen said it was the right time to sell the Legacy RV dealership locations to Ocala, Florida-based Optimum RV.

“As a Utah-based RV dealer, we expanded into the greater St. Louis market in 2021 with the acquisition of our first of two Missouri locations,” Haugen said. “With the benefit of hindsight, we now know that we grew too quickly.”

Haugen worked with RV Business Solutions to sell the stores. RV Business Solutions brokered the 2022 sale of the Festus, Missouri, store from Middleton’s RV to Haugen RV.

“Mike (Lankford) and Scott (Degnan) brought several suitors to us, but in the end, felt that Optimum RV would be the best fit for us and our employees,” Haugen said. “We look forward to joining the Optimum RV team.”

Optimum RV bought the Festus store as well as the dealership in Bonne Terre, Missouri.

Optimum RV President Denver Beck said getting to know Haugen and the team at Legacy RV was a pleasure. The acquisitions give Optimum RV 10 store locations overall, including its first two in Missouri.
