Prevost Cars Inc. is recalling certain 2020 Prevost X3-45 VIP, X3-45 Passenger, H3-45 VIP, and H3-45 Passenger coach buses. The driveshaft clamp bolts may not be properly tightened. The driveshaft connection may separate resulting in a loss of drive. Additionally, a section of the driveshaft may detach from the vehicle, becoming a road hazard. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.
The recall potentially affects 39 units.
Prevost has notified owners, and will replace and properly tighten the driveshaft clamp bolts, free of charge. The recall began Dec. 19, 2019. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046. Prevost’s number for this recall is SR19-43.

The lashing rails on the side walls may not have been properly installed, possibly resulting in the lashing rails detaching. If the lashing rails disconnect, the cargo could become unsecured, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall potentially affects 183 units.
DVUSA will notify owners, and dealers will correctly affix the lashing rails to the side walls, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin Feb. 10, 2020. Owners may contact DVUSA customer service at 1-877-762-8267. DVUSA’s number for this recall is VS3ZUSCHI.

The engine cooling fan may seize which can cause the cooling fan motor to overheat. An overheated fan motor increases the risk of a fire.
The recall potentially affects nine units.
Forest River will notify owners. The remedy for this recall is still under development. The recall is expected to begin Feb. 1, 2020. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440 or Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
