Keystone RV named the brand’s first vice president of marketing and communications. The manufacturer also changed leadership at its Montana, Hideout and Springdale brands.

Matt Christensen, the general manager of Keystone RV’s Cougar and Coleman brands, has been named the general manager of Montana, Montana High Country, Springdale and Hideout.

Keystone RV said the previous Montana general manager, Colin Dechant, has moved on to new opportunities. Dechant was hired as Montana’s general manager in September 2020 after two decades with Forest River, leaving as general manager of the Palomino brand.

Keystone President and CEO Jeff Runels said, “Colin made a real impact here. We are grateful for his time at Keystone and wish him continued success.”

The previous GM of Hideout and Springdale, Jeff Rank, moved to a newly created role. Rank will be the dealer engagement GM. Keystone RV said his role will be to deepen relationships with the dealer network and ensure consistent two-way communications between the manufacturer and dealers.

Nick Johnson will be the new vice president of marketing and communication. Keystone RV said his hiring underscores marketing’s critical role in the RV industry today.

“Nick’s ability to connect mission with message is exactly what Keystone needs,” Runels said, “as we sharpen our identity and expand our voice. We are excited about what’s ahead.”

Johnson spent the last 14 years as a marketing and strategy leader at the University of Notre Dame.

Christensen is charged with pushing innovation while staying rooted in consumers’ practical needs. Keystone RV said Christensen is known for his product instinct, creative problem-solving and dealer-centric approach.

“Keystone is here to play offense,” Runels said. “This is how Keystone operates— we are purpose-built, dealer-driven, and relentlessly customer-focused. With Matt and Nick stepping into these roles, we’re aligning expertise and energy in exactly the right places.”
