Lexi Roberts of Long View RV Superstore in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, is the 2025 NCM Leadership Development Scholarship recipient.
Roberts is an employee of the family dealership, is the Connecticut state delegate for RVDA and an active 20 Group member.
The scholarship, which was established in 2015, honors Spader Business Management founder Duane Spader and his lifelong learning philosophy. The scholarship is open to employees of any RVDA dealer member.
The scholarship is awarded annually to give one current or future leader the opportunity to participate in NCM Associates’ program tuition-free.
Roberts will receive her choice of three out of five exclusive training options.
In her scholarship application, Roberts said she gained confidence while taking on new dealership roles.
“I have seen firsthand how this industry creates lifelong memories for our customers while fueling small business growth across the country,” Roberts said. “Today, in my role at Long View RV, I am deeply committed to carrying that legacy forward by helping our business grow stronger and become more innovative, while also contributing to the RV industry.”
According to RVDA, Roberts hopes to prepare herself to take over the family business when her father, Frank Roberts, is ready to retire.
“I have learned that the success of a dealership is not just about selling units,” Roberts said. “A strong business depends on leadership, streamlined operations and a culture where employees feel supported and customers feel valued. By participating in these NCM trainings, I can bring back proven strategies and processes that will have an immediate impact.”
Craig Smith RV Vice President Brent Smith wrote a recommendation letter for Roberts. Smith is the chairman of her 20 Group. He said he witnessed her drive and work ethic in the meetings.
“Lexi brings a level of professionalism, insight and clarity that commands attention,” he said, “even from those with decades more experience.”
