Lisa Liegl Rees, founder and group general manager at Forest River’s East to West, will leave the company at the end of the month.
Rees founded the company in 2017, launching Della Terra, Silver Lake and Alta travel trailers. In 2020, the manufacturer expanded into fifth wheels with the launch of the Tandara brand.
Since then, the company has expanded to build Type C motorhomes and toy haulers.
Rees, the daughter of Forest River founder Pete Liegl, said she would chart a new career path after leaving East to West.
“After my dad’s passing, I felt a growing call to carry forward the Liegl legacy,” she said, “so I have decided to forge a new path that honors my roots. This decision was not easy, but I am so proud of our accomplishments, and I look forward to still being a part of the family as I travel with my own family in our Forest River East To West trailer.”
Forest River did not announce a successor. The company said East to West will continue its “strong trajectory” under Forest River’s guidance and the division’s experienced leadership team.
Doug Gaeddert, Forest River president and CEO, said he was grateful for Rees’ accomplishments and the passion she brought to the company.
“I have watched Lisa from the time she was a dedicated and amazing teammate on Concord High School’s swim and running teams, through her time as a team builder and leader in her professional career,” Gaeddert said. “I have no doubt that Lisa will do a beautiful job of carrying on and further building on the Liegl legacy, and it will be exciting to see all that she does.”
