Medallion Bank hired Joel Cannon as the company’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Medallion Bank President Justin Haley said Cannon brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in consumer lending, performance marketing and product development to his new role with Medallion.

Medallion said Cannon’s appointment underscores the bank’s commitment to maintaining its leadership position in recreation lending and growing its home improvement finance and strategic partnership businesses.
Cannon most recently served as senior vice president of sales and marketing at Regions Home Improvement Financing, formerly known as EnerBank USA.
Medallion said Cannon led a team of professionals across business development, account management, marketing, contractor training and software product management.
“I am impressed with the leadership team and culture at Medallion Bank,” Cannon said, “and am excited to lead the growth initiatives for both home improvement and recreation lending.”
Before his banking career, Medallion said Cannon held leadership roles in product, sales and marketing at an education technology software start-up and performance marketing firm.
Cannon is a former Utah Bankers Association board member and a graduate of the association’s Executive Development Program.
Cannon has also served as a long-time volunteer and board member for People Helping People, a nonprofit organization focused on reducing childhood poverty.
