Octane promoted Steven Daum to senior vice president of sales, recreational lending.

In the new role, Daum will lead a team of sales professionals across Octane’s RV, powersports, outdoor power equipment, trailer and marine businesses.

Daum will oversee OEM partnerships and insights, dealer channel sales and sales operations. Octane said he is tasked with growing originations through Octane’s in-house lender, Roadrunner Financial, Inc. by strengthening and expanding the company’s network. Octane has over 5,000 dealer partners and 35 OEM partners.

Daum joined Octane in 2022 as vice president of sales and became vice president of partnerships in 2024. Under his leadership, Octane has grown its dealer network, signed new partnerships and expanded agreements with leading OEMs. Originations have grown by over 30% annually during his tenure.

Octane recently surpassed $6 billion in aggregate originations and grew originations in 2024 by 36% year-over-year. Octane EVP, GM of Recreational Lending John Vestal said Daum’s leadership was instrumental in that success.

“Steve has proven to be an exceptional leader, and I am grateful for his significant contributions to Octane during the past three years,” Vestal said. “We have very ambitious plans for the future, and I am confident Steve’s knowledge and expertise will help drive Octane’s next phase of growth.”

Before joining Octane, Daum held senior roles in the powersports industry.
