Alcom LLC acquired Triton Trailers, a premium aluminum trailer product manufacturer.

Alcom makes an overland camper line under its Alcom Off-Road brand.

Triton Trailers, based in Hartford, Wisconsin, is the market leader in aluminum personal watercraft (PWC) trailer production and second in overall aluminum trailer sales.

“Triton has always been admired from afar and has been a strong competitor,” Alcom CEO Trapper Clark said. “As a leading brand name and fellow industry frontrunner, we are excited to build upon Triton’s reputation of quality and innovation.”

Founded in 1975, Triton offers open and enclosed snowmobile, ATV/UTV, PWC, cargo and motorcycle towing solutions. Having pioneered the PWC trailer category the past decade, Triton commands an extensive geographic footprint with dealers across North America and select international markets.

The Triton leadership group and production teams will continue guiding operations at the Hartford facility as the brand is integrated into Alcom. Alcom stated the company had “significant growth plans” for 2022 and beyond.

With the acquisition, Alcom will employ more than 1,000 workers nationwide across facilities in Florida, Maine, Montana, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The company recently signed a lease for another facility in Waco, Texas.
