Virtual F&I supplier Priority One Financial Services and President Heather Mariscal were recently recognized by the Tampa Bay Times for small business leadership and workplace culture.
The news organization said it partnered with Energage to determine the top 165 workplaces in Tampa Bay, Florida.
“Each year, employers in the region are surveyed to get an understanding of what it’s like to work in a variety of industries,” the Times said, “and from a number of companies, to come up with our annual ranking.”
In this year’s survey, 98% of Priority One employees reported feeling engaged, 98% feel closely aligned and 97% feel respected and supported.
“Priority One . . . give[s] me the autonomy to make decisions, the trust to lead major initiatives and the resources to innovate,” said one employee. “Collaboration is encouraged, ideas are heard and support for continuous improvement is provided. It’s a place where effort, expertise and results actually matter.”
This is the fourth year the company has won the award from the Tampa Bay Times.
Mariscal was awarded the Small Business Leadership Award for her role as president.
“I really try to lead with kindness,” she said. “We are all professionals, teammates and coworkers, but we are also all humans that have high times and low times, health scares and family issues, so I really try to set the tone at the top with empathy and compassion.”
Priority One said the company has earned a similar award for the fifth consecutive year and seventh time in company history.
