National Highway Traffic Safety Administration

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following recalls:

CRUISER RV

Incorrect Tire Information on Federal Label, increasing crash risk.

The incorrect tire information is on the federal labels, which could lead to an operator installing incorrect replacement tires. The incorrect wheels can affect towing and increase the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 110

Cruiser RV is recalling certain 2021-2022 Shadow Cruiser and 2022 Twilight travel trailers. The Federal and Certification labels may indicate incorrect tire information, and these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, “Wheel and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars.” Cruiser will mail owners replacement certification labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Feb. 13. Owners may contact Cruiser customer service at 1-574-206-7920. Cruiser’s number for this recall is RC000157.

FOREST RIVER, INC.

Carbon monoxide may enter passenger compartment.

A generator compartment may not be properly sealed, allowing carbon monoxide to enter the vehicle.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 111

Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2020-2022 Cardinal fifth wheel RVs. Dealers will inspect the generator compartment for proper sealant and apply sealant, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Jan. 26. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-296-7700. Forest River’s number for this recall is 15-1444.

JAYCO INC.

Wiring harness can melt, causing vehicle to stall and increasing the crash risk.

The main chassis harness may be too close to the exhaust manifold, causing wires to melt.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 84

Jayco is recalling certain 2022 Alante Type A and Entegra Coach Vision Type A motorhomes. Dealers will inspect and secure the main chassis harness as necessary, or replace the harness if damage is found, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Feb. 18. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.

KZ RV, LP.

Propane supply line may be damaged, increasing the fire risk.

A propane supply line was routed through the wheel well and may be damaged by road debris. The supply line could ignite, increasing the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 21

KZRV is recalling certain 2022 KZRV Connect travel trailers. The propane supply line, routed through the wheel well, may be damaged by road debris. Dealers will reroute the propane supply lines, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed Feb. 4. Owners may contact KZRV customer service at 1-800-768-4016 ext. 154 or 153. KZRV’s number for this recall is KZ-2021-08.
