Registration Open For Industry Days at Hershey Event

Registration is now open for Industry Days, Sept. 13-14, at Hershey America’s Largest RV Show, presented by the Pennsylvania Recreation Vehicle and Camping Association (PRVCA).

PRVCA will host the industry for two education days at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. RV technicians can earn continuing education units (CEUs) for many sessions.

On Sept. 13, Lippert will offer training on Slimrack Slide-outs and Level Up Hydraulic Leveling. The session, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is worth six CEUs and includes lunch.

Regins RV will help technicians minimize water damage by utilizing Sealtech Leak testing in its session, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon. Dexter Axle will offer training from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on servicing RV axles, spring suspension and electric braking systems. The Dexter training includes lunch and attendees will earn four CEUs.

PRVCA Education Director Greg Dewalt will offer warranty administration training from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. His session will explain the warranty administration’s role in keeping a dealership running smoothly and effectively. Dewalt will explain how to create a streamlined process, build best practices, provide transparent reporting, maximizing warranty processing and more. Lunch is provided and attendees will earn six CEUs for completing the seminar.

On Sept. 14, education sessions continue with RV Electricity for technicians and campgrounds.

Mike Sokol of RV Electricity will offer advanced troubleshooting techniques for lithium vs. flooded lead acid (FLA) and absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries, selecting inverter and generator power, including solar panels and charge controllers. The session is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is worth six CEUs and includes lunch. Sokol also will discuss campground pedestal testing and maintenance, including load balancing of campgrounds, hot-skin voltage causes, testing and repair.

Dexter Axle returns to offer its session on servicing RV axles, spring suspensions and electric braking systems from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Dewalt will present “How to improve the customer service experience” from 10 a.m. to noon. He will explore what events impact customer experiences and help attendees establish policies and procedures to improve the customer experience. Dewalt also will explain how to train staff and evaluate, adjust and repeat the training cycle.

Tom Romero of Horizon Global will provide his training expertise for the Reese heavy duty towing products session from 1 to 3 p.m. He will review installation and set up for the Reese Sidewinder short bed truck fifth wheel trailer towing solution, Reese Goose Box, Reese Pro weight distribution and sway control, and Reese M5 fifth wheel hitches.

Sept. 14 is a show preview day for the industry. More than 30 manufacturers will be exhibiting RVs with new floorplans. In addition, booth exhibitors will offer RV parts and accessories, camping gear, campgrounds, travel destinations and services.
