Remote Vans, an RVIA-accredited adventure van manufacturer, appointed Daryn Hillhouse as the company’s CEO.

Hillhouse co-founded the company alongside Tony Alexander. Hillhouse assumed day-to-day leadership last week.

As a founder, Hillhouse was instrumental in Remote Vans’ product line design and development. The company said he is a driving force behind its zero-compromise quality standards. He led the development of Remote Vans’ production infrastructure, pioneered its proprietary manufacturing methods and designed numerous patent-pending features.

Alexander said building adventure vans is in Hillhouse’s blood.

“As we look toward the future, Daryn is best positioned to lead the company to scale further while maintaining the level of quality and reputation we have established in the industry,” Alexander said. “I cannot think of anyone more capable, qualified or suited to lead Remote Vans boldly into the next phase of its growth.”

Remote Vans began in an unused brewery in Cincinnati.

Today, Remote Vans operates a state-of-the-art production facility in St. Bernard, Ohio. Employees are trained across disciplines such as cabinetry, electrical, plumbing and upholstery. The company offers various Type B adventure vans, including the T-45, Friday, Oasis and Aegis Series through dealerships across the US.

Hillhouse is a British Army veteran turned entrepreneur. Before Remote Vans, he launched The Put Foot Rally, an overlanding event that takes participants through a safari-style journey.

Hillhouse said he brings courage, resilience and commitment to his work at Remote Vans.

“As CEO, my focus is on scaling responsibly while strengthening our position in the growing Class B market,” Hillhouse said. “I am fortunate to be surrounded by an exceptional team, whose dedication and expertise will continue driving innovation, quality and the next phase of growth for Remote Vans.”

Remote Vans said it is focused on expanding its dealer and service network, strengthening support for its community of Rolling Nomads and continuing to deliver craftsmanship and customer experience as it heads into 2026.
