The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) reported that RV wholesale shipments into Canada for the second quarter ending June 30 totaled 7,867 RVs, a 14.7% decrease from the 9,221 wholesale RVs shipped during the same period in 2024.
RV wholesale shipments into Canada through June 30 totaled 17,852 RVs, a 3.2% increase from the 17,307 wholesale RV shipments in the first six months of 2024.
CRVA said the second-quarter pullback was largely anticipated. In the first quarter, many Canadian RV dealers accelerated orders to get ahead of proposed countermeasure tariffs announced by the federal government, which boosted first-quarter wholesale activity.
Canada’s counter-tariffs on motorhomes, which were in place from April through June, affected motorized RV shipments, leading to sharper year-over-year declines.
According to Statistical Surveys, as reported by RVDA of Canada, retail activity during the second quarter of 2025 totaled 13,129 RVs. CRVA said the gap between shipments and sales reflected a significant drawdown of dealer inventories, particularly in motorized RVs.
CRVA said, “We will continue to work with government and industry partners on both sides of the border to ensure that trade returns to balanced and reciprocal, supporting manufacturers, dealers and consumers in Canada and the United States alike.”
