EXCLUSIVE: Retail Attendees Gain Education Before Hitting Show Floor

Northern Wholesale Supply’s annual RV show kicked off Wednesday with supplier-led educational training sessions occupying the bulk of the first day.

Retail attendees had 2.5 hours to walk the show floor in the evening, following up on discussions many suppliers began earlier in the day at training sessions.

Suppliers such as Airxcel, Dometic and Valterra shared information about new retail merchandising displays and new product releases.

Lippert announced a new motion-activated RV step light. The metallic plate attaches to surfaces with magnets, enabling the light to illuminate areas around steps but also any metallic area inside or outside the RV.

GE Appliances introduced its air conditioners, refrigerators and other appliances to retail attendees. This is the first year GE Appliances’ products will be distributed by Northern Wholesale Supply.

Northern Wholesale Supply announced five finalists for its second annual awards, to be handed out Thursday night.

The five companies vying for Supplier of the Year are AP Products, BAL RV Products, LaSalle Bristol, Progress Manufacturing and Stromberg-Carlson.

The five finalists for Best Field Support honors are Brad Vander Pol of Demco Products, Justin Parrott of Blue Ox, Matt Havlik of Derema Group, Shaun Hesselbart of Lippert and Walt Mason of Curt.

The distributor also announced later dates for next year’s RV show. The show is slated to run from Dec. 11-12, 2024.

The final day began with a 7 a.m. breakfast and the show floor opening at 8 a.m. The show floor closes at 6 p.m.A picture of a speaker at the Northern Wholesale Supply show.
