Less than eight months ago, Rev Recreation Group operated divisions that built motorhomes of all classes, truck campers and travel trailers.

Today, the manufacturer is operating under new ownership. Rev Recreation Group’s Lance Camper division was sold in June 2025. Its luxury Type B motorhome division, Midwest Automotive Designs, was sold today.

What remains is Type A manufacturing, comprising the American Coach, Fleetwood RV and Holiday Rambler brands, and Super C manufacturing by Renegade RV.

Rev Group and its owner, Terex Corp., did not comment on the Midwest Automotive Designs sale. Terex Corp. released a three-sentence statement stating the sale was completed.

When the merger between Terex Corp. and Rev Group was made public in October 2025, Terex CEO Simon Meester was asked about Rev Group’s RV business’ future.

Meester said, “When it comes to the RV business, first and foremost we are going to focus on the things that we are announcing today—the integration of the two companies, the execution on the synergies and then the aerials exit. Going forward, we will continue to assess the effectiveness of our portfolio, as both companies have done and will continue to do, and just make the right decisions for our shareholders.”

Midwest Automotive Designs was founded by Tim Gray in 2001. The manufacturer was among the first U.S. companies approved to be a Mercedes-Benz master upfitter. The company sold direct to consumers until 2014, when the company built a dealer network.

Three years later, in 2017, Rev Group acquired the company.

Rev Group was founded in 2015. Private-equity firm American Industrial Partners combined Fleetwood Enterprises, which had been bought out of bankruptcy in 2010, with other companies. A year later, Rev Group bought Renegade RV. In 2018, after the Midwest Automotive Designs purchase, Rev Group bought Lance Camper.
