Jayco Inc., a Thor Industries subsidiary, worked with RV supplier Lippert on a concept RV designed to be durable and homey.

The Jayco Baja Sur concept travel trailer will appear in the Lippert booth in the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) exhibit at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Nov. 1-4.

“Lippert is excited to partner with Jayco to bring this really cool concept RV to the SEMA show this year,” said Jarod Lippert, Lippert marketing and public relations vice president.

The Baja Sur is upfitted from the JayFeather Micro 199MBS. The travel trailer is 23 feet, 2 inches long and weighs less than 5,000 pounds.

“This concept build has been the culmination of months of hard work by both Jayco and Lippert,” said Trey Miller, Jayco marketing vice president. “Seeing the rising popularity of the overlanding segment at SEMA provides a natural crossover to recreational vehicles, which are experiencing their highest popularity in history. Whether it is a highly capable towable unit or a 4 x 4 Type B van, RVs are quickly becoming a fixture in overland adventure travel.”

“There is no better way to highlight all the products that Lippert and all its brands provide for the towing experience than to demonstrate on an actual RV,” Jarod Lippert said. “With more and more outdoor enthusiasts coming to the show to check out the overlanding displays and all of the other mobile lifestyle products, we are sure that this will be a hit for the more than 100,000 attendees. We are appreciative of Jayco’s partnership and look forward to a successful show.”

The Baja Sur is designed to be rugged on the outside and provide coastal inspired comfort on the inside, Jayco said. The company added the RV demonstrates how a buyer or existing owner can accessorize their stock RV without breaking the bank.
