The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following 2024 RV recalls:

FOREST RIVER, INC.

Pin Box May Separate from the Vehicle, Causing a Crash

Towing while in a different position can cause the upper front structure to break and the pin box to separate from the vehicles, increasing the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 100

Forest River is recalling certain 2024 Cardinal and Wildcat fifth wheels. The operator may use the rear towing hitch without locking the turning point fifth wheel hitch into the “conventional transport” position.

Dealers will install a warning label on the hitch and rear wall of the vehicle, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 22. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 574-296-7700. Forest River’s number for this recall is 15-1755.

 

LED Backlight Circuit Board Failure May Cause Fire

A circuit board that overheats increases the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 4,480

Forest River is recalling certain 2021-2022 Forest River Cardinal, Wildcat, 2018-2019 Cedar Creek, 2021 Columbus, 2023 Continental Cargo, 2021-2024 Dynamax DX3, Dynamax Dynaquest XL, Dynamax Isata, Forest River IBEX, 2022-2024 Dynamax Europa, Forest River No Boundaries, 2022-2023 Forest River Sandstorm, Shockwave, Stealth and 2021-2023 Dynamax Force trailers. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat.

Dealers will disconnect and cut the circuit powering the LED backlights and terminate the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by May 27. KEYSTONE RV, CO.

Inadequate Clearance Between Axle and Frame

Contact between the axle and the frame increases the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 214

Keystone is recalling certain 2024 Keystone Retreat, Residence 40CLDL, Residence 401CLDL, Dutchmen Aspen Trail 421LOFT and Crossroads Hampton 390PVL trailers. The equalizer may provide inadequate clearance, enabling the axle to contact the frame.

Dealers will replace the equalizer, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 31. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 8696-425-4369. Keystone’s number for this recall is 24-453.

LED Backlight Circuit Board Failure May Cause Fire

A circuit board that overheats increases the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 1,032

Outdoors RV Manufacturing (ORV) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Titanium trailers. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat.

Dealers will disconnect and cut the circuit powering the LED backlights and terminate the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 17. Owners may contact ORV customer service at 541-962-1866. ext. 222.

TIFFIN MOTORHOMES, INC.

LED Backlight Circuit Board Failure May Cause Fire

A circuit board that overheats increases the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: N/A.

Tiffin is recalling certain 2022-2024 Allegro Open Road, Allegro RED 360, 2024 Byway and 2022 Phaeton motorhomes. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat.

Dealers can remove the LED backlights or terminate the circuit for the red LED lights, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by May 31. Owners may contact Tiffin customer service at 256-356-8661. Tiffin’s number for this recall is TIF-138.
