RV Recalls Issued

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued the following 2024 RV recalls:

FOREST RIVER INC.

Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) Tank Brackets May Break

A damaged LPG tank increases the fire risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 6,966

Forest River is recalling certain 2019-2024 Georgetown and FR3 Type A motorhomes. The liquid petroleum gas (LPG) tank mounting brackets may break, which can result in the LPG tank becoming dislodged and damaged.

Dealers will inspect and replace the brackets and welds as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 23. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 574-206-7600. Forest River’s number for this recall is 68-1736.

 

Hitch May Fail Causing Crash

Hitch failure increases the crash risk.

Potential Number of Units Affected: 429

Forest River is recalling certain 2015-2017 Sanibel SNF3550 and 2021-2023 Sanibel SNF3902WB fifth wheels. The hitch pin box may not be sufficient for the GVWR and may fail.

Dealers will install a properly rated hitch, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 27. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 574-862-1025. Forest River’s number for this recall is 49-1737.
