RV Retailer LLC moved into state No. 32 with its latest dealer group acquisition.

RV Retailer bought Harper Camperland, which has stores in Great Bend and Wichita, Kansas. The acquisition gives RV Retailer 106 stores nationwide, less than a week after RV Retailer celebrated the fourth anniversary of its first acquisition.

“We are excited to enter Kansas with Harper Camperland,” RV Retailer President and CEO Jon Ferrando said. “Kansas is one of the top 10 fastest-growing RV states in terms of registrations, with excellent RV demographics.”

Harper Camperland opened its Great Bend location in 1983 and added a second location in Park City (Wichita) in 2019.

“Thank you to Dan Lear and his family for selecting us to take the business forward,” Ferrando said. “Thank you to our RVR team for joining me at the store to announce the acquisition earlier in August. We are excited to welcome Harper Camperland associates into RV Retailer.”

The stores will be managed under the West Region led by Jim Humble.

“Both locations have excellent store facilities,” Ferrando said, “with extensive service and parts centers and great product brands including Jayco, Grand Design and Forest River.”

The Park City location, a state-of-the-art facility, opened in the fourth quarter of 2019 on I-35 just north of Wichita. The site is 10 acres and features 38,000 square feet of indoor space and 25 service bays.
