Backed by partnerships with Outdoorsy and RVshare, RecNation Storage announced the company will launch a peer-to-peer RV rental platform.

RecNation Storage operates 40 storage facilities over four states nationwide.

RecNation Rental will host and promote listings on Outdoorsy and RVshare as part of the partnerships announced with each.

The RecNation Rental program will officially launch this month at RecNation’s headquarters in Dallas. The company said it plans to rapidly scale the program to include the 340 facilities it will own and operate across the country in the future.

“In my own RV travels across the country, I saw firsthand the magnitude of the RV and camping industry,” said Gary Wojtaszek, founder and CEO of RecNation. “With RecNation Rental, our vision is to introduce a white-glove service to customers that allows them to capitalize on the value of their toys when they are not using them. By leveraging our existing storage business and personnel to manage the rentals, we can provide our customers with a unique and valuable opportunity to earn additional income on an asset they already own, while also expanding the accessibility of recreational vehicles and allowing more outdoor enthusiasts and families to take a trip and create new memories.”

RecNation said it has over 10,000 customers using its storage facilities, with plans to grow this number to 140,000 over the next five years.
